James Rattell, Jr., 49, of Manchester, CT, passed away early Thursday morning March 20, 2014. Jim was born in Hartford, CT on December 23, 1964 to the late James Rattell Sr. and Sarah (DeFreitas) Rattell. Jim lived in Manchester, CT with his loving wife Sarah Rattell where he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and spending time at home with his family. Watching his grandchildren play basketball and football games gave him great pride, he cherished being a grandpa and loved watching wrestling and cartoons with his grandchildren curled up beside him. He owned J & S Concrete and had a passion for working and building with concrete. He also held a job with Yusen Logistics. Besides his wife Sarah, Jim is survived by his three children who referred to him lovingly as "Pop", Diana Cardona and her husband Hiram, James Carrillo and his wife Vanessa, and Jason Carrillo and his wife Denise; six precious grandchildren, Savannah, Adonis, Lucian, James, Jayden, and Gianna; five siblings, Theresa Grenier and her husband Scott, Adam Rattell who affectionately called his older brother "Bobo", Joan Nicholls and her husband Aaron, Edward Rattell, and Amanda Rattell; one niece; several nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and many close friends he considered extended family, especially Nick and Anthony Bartone. Jimmy's big heart was full of love for his family and friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert Rattell. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 12-3 P.M. with a funeral service to take place at 2 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT.
