  • LOCATION: Vernon, Connecticut

Henrietta (Blazejovsky) Molitoris, 86, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed from this life on Monday, November 25, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Vonasek) Blazejovsky. She leaves her husband of 62 years of marriage, Edward Molitoris; four children, Jeanne, Karl, and Eric Molitoris of Stafford Springs, CT, and Joan Molitoris and son-in-law George Raiche of San Francisco, CA; daughter-in-law Sonya Sellers and granddaughter Olivia of Columbia, CT; and three grandchildren, Ian, Derek, and Courtney Boother of Baltic, CT. She also leaves two sisters, Irene Williams and Gloria Reynolds; a sister-in-law, Ruth Blazejovsky; several nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, friends; and a dear friend, Janet. She was predeceased by two sisters, Bertha DaDalt and Clara Sutyla; and two brothers, Aldrich and Ervin Blazejovsky. Henrietta was born and lived in Stafford Springs, CT working at Hydeville, Swift River, Johnson's and Warren's Woolen Mills in many capacities, including as a sewer and drawing-in patterner. She worked in the kitchen at Mansfield Training School for several years. She managed the Warren of Stafford Mill store in Sturbridge, MA for eight years prior to becoming the general manager for the four Warren of Stafford Mill stores in Connecticut and Massachusetts. During her early life, she was a Girl Scout leader, playing the bugle in the marching band; sang with the Downhomers country band; and won prize recognition for her expert sewing and tailoring skills. She was a Cub Scout leader, a member of the Staffordville Congregational Church, and life-time member of the Stafford Historical Society. She loved music – country, bigband, and classical. Her intense love and expert talent in sewing and all "needle" related arts, being a born teacher, led her to teach Adult Education in that field for 39 years. This was one of her greatest accomplishments, along with raising and actively supporting her children. Her counsel, wisdom, and sense of humor will be deeply missed. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Stafford Historical Society, 5 Spring St., Stafford Springs, CT 06076, Our Companions Animal Rescue, 34 Sanrico Dr., Manchester, CT 06042, or to a charity of choice.
