Dennis Keith Vertefeuille, 61, of Chaplin, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Windham Memorial Hospital. He was born July 27, 1952 in Willimantic, son of Agnes (Schlehofer) Vertefeuille and the late Leonel Vertefeuille. He was predeceased by his son, Dennis Keith Vertefeuille, Jr. Dennis is survived by his partner of 15 years, Cindy Green; daughter, Dulcie Vannais of Willington, CT; stepchildren, Kimberly Beyor and her partner Scott DaRos of Windham, CT, and James Beyor of Coventry, CT; grandchildren, Joshua, Brianna and Samantha Vannais and Makayla and Makenzie Beyor; sister, Sheila Krakowiecki and her partner Roy of Hollywood, FL; brother, Brian Vertefeuille and his wife Judy of Ramona, CA; sister, Lucy Pulk and her husband Kenny of Windham Center, CT; several nieces and nephews; and those unnamed whom he loved dearly. Dennis was a skilled mason, always willing to share his knowledge and teach others the craft. He was an avid outdoorsman; enjoying everything from stream trout fishing, deep sea fishing, winter ice fishing, and hunting. He was also a talented artist; often sketching and sharing his pictures and cards with others, for them to enjoy. He was a good friend to many and will be missed by all. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2013 from 9-11 A.M. with a funeral service to take place at 11 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. A reception will follow at the Storrs Congregational Church, 2 North Eagleville Rd., Storrs, CT. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham, CT, will be held privately.
