On February 28, 2014, Denise L. (Bushey) Irwin joined the angels. She was born December 19, 1957 in Stafford Springs, CT. After graduating from Stafford High School, she joined the Air Force and was stationed in Austin, TX where she met the love of her life, Robert. Shortly after meeting, they married and started a family. Denise and Rob moved back to her hometown in Connecticut for a short time before settling down in Eureka, CA. She found work at Fresh Freeze and WINCO throughout her career. Denise made many friends; one that lasted many years was Terry Davis. Denise left many wonderful impressions on everyone she met. She was filled with determination and love in her heart for her family and friends. She was passionate about gardening, music and summers at Ruth Lake. Denise was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Bushey; father-in-law, Robert Irwin; and brother-in-law, Ed Irwin. She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Robert Irwin; son, Matthew; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Jesse; daughter, Liza; mother, Blanche Bushey; sisters and brothers-in-law, Joan and Bill Hall, Bonnie and George Ramsey, and Linda Waugh; mother-in-law, Bessie Irwin; sister-in-law, Vickie Irwin; and many loving nieces and nephews. Among them is Skip, who was like a brother to her. Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 21, 2014 from 9-11 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a graveside service at 11:30 A.M. at St. Edward Cemetery, West Stafford Rd., Stafford Springs, CT.
